Who We Are

What started as a dream, has become a reality. Rita & Roy Leija are both from small cities. Born into large families they too had six children. The happiest and most full of life couple you could know was on their way to making a big difference in the industry. With a big family of their own, they always put God first. Attending church regularly and teaching their children morals and values while instilling God within themselves.  In the summer of 1997, Rita and Roy joined as one and married in the Catholic Church. They were known to their community as neighbors you could rely on, in their parish as someone to confide in and as parents who strived to provide. As years went on they watched the health of their parents slowly decline.  They were aware of the shortage of quality home care available and so they decided to open a residential care home of their own. In December of 2014 they found a perfect location at 5627 N Bond St. in Fresno California and they knew from that point on they would begin the long process of opening their first residential home for the elderly. Roy worked during the week as a truck driver while renovating the home on weekends. Rita’s role was to secure the necessary certificates and work on all the business end of things.  Together they tackled the challenges that came with making their dream a reality. Finally, in January of 2017 they were issued their state license. It was such a happy occasion for them both. All their hard work had finally paid off.  Their plans were for Roy to retire and join the business with Rita. Unfortunately, life took a different turn and on February 9, 2017 Roy passed away suddenly. Rose Meadow Manor came to a complete stop as the family mourned the loss of a husband, father and grandfather.   Remembering Roy always saying  “life waits for no one” and “all things are possible through Christ”, Rita along with the children made the decision to open the business.  Rita and the children are now running the facility motivated by Roy and his memory. We are on our way to providing the central valley with amazing and new RCFE’s. Being family oriented and wanting only the best for our friends and family, our home is love and comfort for your loved ones.
